Agave Weekly Update #6
Here are a few things I enjoyed reading this week:
Hybrid work: Google is going to a hybrid model. Dropbox is also going hybrid and allowing employees to WFH permanently. “The shift comes after an internal survey found nearly 90% of Dropbox workers said they were more productive at home.”
Office culture: Facebook gets explicit about discussing social and political issues in the workplace. Coinbase shared some details on how many people took their generous severance package for a similar stance on company culture (reminds me of the Amazon offer).
The nerdy stuff: Dave shares challenges and learnings around isometric rendering.

Early beta tenants can now have their own private offices.
Tenants can now visit other offices with a few clicks.
All users can now share their screen in the virtual office. Supported by Chrome 72+, Firefox 66+, Safari 12.2+, and the desktop app.

Horizontally invert your local camera feed for a more natural look and feel (behaves more like Zoom).
Updated inactivity timer from 5 to 15 minutes
When an office is closed and you see an error message, you can refresh the page to try again
Clicking on video bubbles now toggles the "fill screen" view for that video (click again to untoggle)
Internal admin tools to manage teams, email waiting list, coworking emails, etc.
Allow tenants to access their office anytime, not just admins
